WE BELIEVE IN CHANGE

In response to the great number of hardship cases, the Agape Program (Social Wellfare Program) was organized by BLESS to implement different services to assist the needy (“the Brethren of the Lord”). BLESS CANADA was established back in October 1995. However it began its service in February of 1999.

BLESS in Egypt has three distinct departments:

  • The Charity Department

  • The Development Department

  • The Ecumenical Department

The Charity Department contains the Agape Program (Social Wellfare Program), which assists poor and needy Copts throughout Egypt. BLESS CANADA sends all its funds to the Agape Program of the Charity Department. The Development Department turns very poor villages into stable, productive and self-sufficient communities through a system called Comprehensive Integrated Development (CID). The Ecumenical Department deals with facilitating ecumenical relations between the Coptic Orthodox Church and other churches.
